So you just got an xTool Omni? Great! If you're brand new and don't know where to start, this page is for you!

We've put this series of Omni videos together to get you set up and printing quickly. We highly recommend you watch them in order below before moving on to the full library of Silhouette U xTool videos.

One note before you start: the videos in the first section apply to every Omni model. The UV + DT Fabric section at the bottom covers shirts, and those processes only work on the UV + DT Fabric model.

1. SETTING UP O1 OMNI & XTOOL SOFTWARE

The xTool Omni is not plug in and print machine. Budget about two hours from unboxing to first print, and know going in that thirteen of the ink extractions are done by hand with a syringe. In this video I'll walk you through the complete UV printer and software setup.

Switch out of UV flatbed into DTF mode, then lay a sheet of paper under your film so the wet transfer slides off instead of curling. A six inch design takes over thirteen minutes, and Melissa explains why.

The Omni cannot cure, so this part is on you. Powder within thirty minutes while the ink is still wet, cure at 410 for three minutes, then batch everything, because dropping the press from 410 to 320 takes six minutes every single time.

Press, print, press. The printhead measures the highest point on the platen, so a thick collar edge sprays your print and ruins the blank. Melissa loads a shirt wrong on purpose to show you what that looks like, and skips pretreat entirely. White shirts only in this video.
